Hello!

I'm Olli Äkräs, a student living in Helsinki, Finland.

I'm interested in various forms of arts in music and grapchics. My key specialities are composing and producing music as well as designing web-pages, but recently, I've been experimenting 3D-visualization too.

I created this web site to showcase my work effortlessly and also share the things I might discover in my blog while making stuff.

My primary instruments are piano and flute but I'm learning guitar too. I also sing in the choir Grex Musicus.

When it comes to music, I don't consider myself that much as a musician of some specific instrument but more as someone who 'aims to analyze and understand music and sounds', an audio engineer who also is fond of music theory and composing. If I hear a chord or a sound I haven't heard before, I immediately want to know how it's constructed. This understanding helps me to play instruments that are new to me, build up sounds that I have a vision of, and improvise numerous music genres on spot, which comes in handy when accompanying the improvisation theatre group Kolina.
